Innovating a digital solution to engage employees through data transparency, collaboration, and a dash(board) of friendly competition

**Hilton Worldwide is a leading global hospitality company, with a portfolio of 19 world-class brands, including Waldorf Astoria, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, and DoubleTree. Hilton Worldwide’s revenue managers (RMs) are responsible for optimizing hotel room pricing across a portfolio of properties. However, after a few months on the job, some RMs began to feel disengaged once they mastered their roles, while others grew frustrated when overlooked for promotions. The need to maintain motivation and a sense of progress for all team members became a growing concern.**

In response to these challenges, we at POOL launched a Design Thinking process including extensive anthropological user research and a Concept Development Week in collaboration with an Employee Advisory Group. The user insights told us that the goal was to develop a solution that would increase transparency around performance and progress, while also fostering a more motivating work environment.

MY ROLE
