Securing partnership with adidas and powering a circular rental offering with our proprietary tech platform
adidas is one of the key B2B partners @ POOL, the circular fashion service that lets users have access to clothes like they stream music on Spotify. After having built a unique community in Berlin of both fashion and sustainability conscious people adidas approached us to be a part of a new innovative and contemporary retail concept aimed at locals in Berlin’s Prenzlauerberg. In this new neighborhood store and community space POOL should be featured as a “powered by” service provider enabling a circular rental offering of adidas products. The collaboration included establishing a POOL in-store satellite, setting up satellite operations, white-labling our proprietary tech platform to B2B, as well as creating an app for customers to book and manage their rentals, payments etc. The adidas x POOL partnership was promoted online and offline.
As a co-founder of POOL I was hands-on in closing this key B2B contract, including defining concept, UX, project & tech scoping, planning, operations-design, support setup, budgeting and legal. This included navigating the stakeholder setup with other service providers and within the adidas organization. Once the contract was signed I led the project of enabling our tech platform to handle B2B as well as designing and product owning the development of an end-user app as an addition to our proprietary tech eco-system.
